"Creativity is an intriguing, illusive subject, intangible and exciting." Dewulf & Bailie 1999
Learning about creativity and the creative process makes me want to have time to explore my own creativity. Taking time out in order to nurture my creativity is something I have had no time to do. I have attached a photo of Thornwick Bay somewhere I need to go to escape all the chaos and re-discover this lost creativity! A place filled with happy memories and inspiration need to get it booked in.
My design journey began with Printed Textiles, exploring surface pattern design. Following from this I developed an interest in the concept of textile sustainability and recycling. I have recently completed my MA study exploring how historic textile processes can benefit our future through sustainable design. I am training to be a teacher in Art and Design to share my knowledge and fulfil the concept of living arts. This blog aims to explore what inspires me and to encourage my development as a practioner.
